DADvocate – How much do Dads read?

Posted under DADvocate by metzgerbusiness on Friday 5 February 2010 at 1:29 am

Well I’m more amazed every day by how much dads do. I honestly have no idea how we fit it all in. We are one hustling bunch of guys and we are Crushing it in both our personal lives and work lives.

Today’s question is how much do dads read? Check out this graph. We read a lot and somehow find the time. I suspect this chart isn’t only relevant to dads I imagine it’s pretty reflective of all men in the population. As you can see we do spend time reading.

Any guesses as to where men are while reading? I’m betting the throne.

  • Kevin,
Reading is one of my favorite activities, I would read so much more when I used to travel, I'd knock out book after book. Right now I am reading a few books simultaneously and I like it.
  • Drew,

I'm a huge reader too. I don't know how much you've poked around the history on this site but I couldn't read until I was eleven going on twelve and I consider it a blessing that I can read. I'm slow and have found that I tend not to finish books if I read more than one at a time but i can listen to a book and read one which is why I'm such a big fan of Audible<affiliate link. I love to listen to Audible in the car and I consider it my crutch because I'm a slow reader although voracious reader.

    FYI:
Voracious - devouring or craving in great quantities
Veracious - habitually speaking the truth, precisely accurate
    Just learned this today.
  • I love listening to audio books but I have been using podcasts more often because they are free. There is so much free content out there that I don't buy many books.
