Interviewing Army’s Employee of the Year with a disability

I’m very excited. I have the opportunity to interview a very special person on December 17, 2009 18:00 or 6:00 PM ET. The person is the Army’s employee of the year. She lives here in Ga and her sister lives in our neighborhood. So not only will we get to interview her but she is going to come to the house and my daughter will get to meet this wonderful person who has not let her disability get in her way. I’m very excited and I can’t wait to meet Brooke Larrabee. I’ll be broadcasting live on Ustream. We’ll send the details soon.

These are very early returns and I expect the results to change significantly as we get closer to statistically significant numbers but I thought I would share some early returns. I’m not going to share the number of people who have taken the survey so far but sufice it to say that if you take the survey now you can still make some noticable change to these statistics.

52% of dad’s take a daily multi vitamin.
35% of dad’s have 3 or more children.
13% of dad’s have a tatoo.
70% of dad’s have taken recreational drugs as some point in their lives.
42% of dad’s attend church or some religious service more than twice monthly.

If you would like to participate in the DADvocate Project survey you can access it at http://myspellingsucks.com/?page_id=305.

The survey is completely anonymous if you choose it to be so, but you do have the opportunity to volunteer to be interviewed directly.

You DON’T have to be a dad to complete the survey! We are looking at data to see if there is a difference in how you approach parenting before and after you have children.
